Joint committee binuo para suriin ang RA 10592
Nakabuo na ang Department of Justice (DOJ) at Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) ng isang joint committee para pag-aralan ang guidlines sa pag-compute sa credit and time allowances ayon sa Republic Act 10592 o Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA).
Ginawa ang hakbang kasunod ng kontrobersiyang nalikha ng ulat ukol sa maagang paglaya ni convicted rapist-murderer Antonio Sanchez.
Pirmado nina Justice Sec. Menardo Guevarra at Interior Sec. Eduardo Año ang Joint Department Order 01.
Nakasaad sa kautusan ang pansamantalang pagsuspinde sa pagproseso ng mga GCTA sa loob ng 10 araw.
Tatayong chairman ang isang Justice undersecretary at co-chair niya ang isang Interior undersecretary.
Itinalagang miyembro naman ang mga kinatawan ng DOJ, DILG, Bureau of Corrections o Bucor, Parole and Probation Administration o PPA, Board of Pardons and Parole at Bureau of Jail Management and Penology o BJMP.
Pinagsusumite ang komite ng report at IRR ng batas kina Guevarra at Año sa loob din ng 10 araw.
