DPWH nakapagpatayo na ng sampung health centers sa Catanduanes

Natapos na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang pagpapatayo ng 10 rural health unit sa lalawigan ng Catanduanes.

Ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, inaasahang mapapabuti na at mas mapapadali ang pagpapagamot sa mga residente lalo na malapit na sa kanila ang mga health station.

Sa report ni DPWH Region 5 Director Virgilio Eduarte, ang proyekto ay nagkakahalaga ng P33.86-million na itinayo sa mga Barangay Buenavista sa bayan ng Bato; Barangays Villa Aurora at Tambongon, Viga; Barangay Sicmil sa Gigmoto; Barangay San Vicente sa Bagamanoc; Barangay Dariao sa Caramoran; Barangay San Isidro sa San Andres.

Galing ang pondong ginamit sa pagpapatayo sa Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) ng Department of Health (DOH), bawat health station ay nilagyan ng persons-with-disability (PWD) friendly ramps, well ventilated at maliwana, may sanitary area, midwife office, receiving area, pantry, porch, at may hiwalay na toilet para sa lalake at babae.
