River control project sa Las Piñas City natapos na ng DPWH
Natapos na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang konstruksyon ng river control project sa Las Piñas City.
Ayon kay Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, ang proyekto na kinapapalooban ng flood control structure ay ginastusan ng P120.76-million.
Layon nitong maprotektahan ang mga residente kapag umaapaw ang tubig sa Las Piñas River.
Ginawa ang 325.80 square meters long at 5.40-meter high na retaining wall bilang proteksyon.
Dahil dito, inaasahang maiiwasan na ang pagbaha sa mga bahay sa Barangays Pamplona 3 at Pulanglupa 2.
Umabot sa 512 na pamilya na naninirahan sa tabing-ilog ang naapektuhan sa nasabing proyekto at binigyan ng relokasyon sa tulong ng Urban Poor Affairs Office (UPAO) ng Las Piñas City.
