Panukalang pondo ng Judiciary mabilis na nakalusot sa komite sa Kamara

Mabilis na nakalusot sa House Appropriations Committee ang panukalang P38.71B 2020 budget ng sangay ng Hudikatura.

Dalawampu’t limang minuto lamang ang itinagal ng pagdinig.

Sa pagdinig, iprinesinta ni Court Administrator Atty. Midas Marquez ang panukalang pondo ng Judiciary.

Nakasaad na sa kanilang budget proposal na ito ay nagkakahalaga ng P55.66B pero binawasan ito ng Department of Budget and Management at binigyan lamang ng P38.71B.

Sa pagtatanong ni Misamis Occidental 2nd District Rep. Henry Oaminal sa DBM kung bakit binawasan ang budget proposal ng judiciary sinabi ni DBM Director Amanella Arevalo na inalis nila ang “Congressional initiative” at ang recurring items.

Gayunman, sinabi ni Arevalo na subject for evaluation pa rin ang original proposal ng Hudikatura.

Ang Judicial branch ng pamahalaan ay kinabibilangan ng Supreme Court (SC), Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), Court of Appeals (CA), Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), Sandiganbayan at mga lower courts.
