Dalawang porsyento ng mga Pinoy hindi pa sakop ng PhilHealth ayon sa DOH
Ipinagmalaki ng Department of Health (DOH) na mas kakaunti na lamang ang mga Filipino na hindi sakop ng PhilHealth coverage.
Sa pagdinig ng House Committee on Appropriations sa panukalang P166.5 billion 2020 budget ng ahensya sinabi ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na 98 percent o 104.5 milyong Pilipino ang nasa ilalim ng PhilHealth coverage.
Sa 2020 ay target ng ahensya ang 100 percent coverage kung saan kabilang sa major activities sa ilalim ng national health insurance program ay ang pag-subsidize sa premium ng nasa 15.4 million indigents at 5.4 million senior citizens.
Samantala, tumaas rin sa 1.36 million patients ang natulungan ng medical expenses assistance mula sa 1.18 million.
Sa panukalang pondo ng ahensya, P67.4 billion ang ilalaan para sa PhilHealth.
