Isyu ng POGO Chinese workers ididiga ni Xi kay Pangulong Duterte
Nilinaw ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang na si Chinese President Xi Jinping ang maaring magbukas ng talakayan kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte tungkol sa Chinese workers na nagtatrabaho sa Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) sa bansa.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, legal kasi sa Pilipinas ang online gaming operation sa bansa.
Ayon kay Panelo, na kay Xi ang bola dahil Ilegal sa kanila ang pagsusugal at hinahabol ang mga operator.
Nababahala aniya si Xi na nauuwi sa money laundering ang operasyon ng POGO Hub sa Pilipinas.
“Siguro ang magre raise niyan baka si President Xi hindi tayo, kasi as far as we’re concerned, the online gaming operation is legal in this country. Eh sila as far as they’re concerned, illegal yun, so they’re running after the operators. Kasi daw yung mga online gaming operations, ang talagang target yung mga Chinese nationals, at the same time baka daw nila laundry yung pera. Kaya very concerned sila dun,” sinabi ni Panelo.
Nakatakdang magkaroon ng bilateral talks sa Beijing sina Pangulong Duterte at Xi sa August 28 hanggang September 1.
