Chinese official: China hindi magbabago ng posisyon sa South China Sea
Hindi magbabago ang posisyon ng China na hindi kilalanin ang arbitration ruling na pumapabor sa Pilipinas sa agawan ng teritoryo sa South China Sea.
Pahayag ito ni Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Geng Shuang sa Beijing sa kabila ng planong pagtalakay ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa isyu kay Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Ngayong linggo magaganap ang official visit ng pangulo sa China.
Sa pulong balitaang nitong weekend, sinabi ni Geng na makatutulong para mapanatili ang kapayapaan at katatagan sa rehiyon kung maayos na tutugunan ang isyu.
“First of all, China’s position on the South China Sea arbitration has not changed a bit. Facts have proven that if we handle this issue properly, it will be good for regional peace and stability,” ani Geng.
Magugunitang sinabi ni Pangulong Duterte na walang makakakontrol sa kanyang bibig sa pagdiga sa arbitral ruling sa presidente ng China.
“China is ready to conduct dialogue with the Philippines based on international laws to jointly safeguard maritime security and order,” dagdag ng Chinese official.
Sa kanyang pahayag, iginiit ni Geng na ang Pilipinas ay ‘friendly neighbor’ ng China at nagbunga ang ugnayan ng mga ito para sa Belt and Road Initiative at sa Build Build Build program.
Naniniwala umano ang Chinese government na simula nang maupo si Duterte sa pwesto ay mas lumalim ang ugnayan ng Pilipinas at China.
“Since President Duterte took office, China-Philippines relations have been consolidated and deepened. We worked to seek synergies between the BRI and the “Build, Build, Build” Program, reaping fruitful results in practical cooperation,” giit ni Geng.
“China attaches high importance to relations with the Philippines. We would like to further strengthen strategic mutual trust and expand practical cooperation to ensure steady and sustained progress in this relationship,” dagdag pa niya.
Samantala, sa isyu naman ng walang paalam na pagdaan ng Chinese military ships sa mga katubigang sakop ng bansa, sinabi ni Geng na na handa ang China na makipagdayalogo sa Pilipinas nang nakabatay sa international laws.
