Mga establisyimento na dahilan ng polusyon sa Bangkulasi River ipapasara
Bibigyan ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ng “cease and desist order” ang mga establisyimento na nagpaparumi sa Bangkulasi River sa Navotas.
Ang hakbang na ipasara ang mga pasaway na establisyimento ay sa gitna ng patuloy na rehabilitasyon ng Manila Bay.
Ayon kay DENR Undersecretary Benny Antiporda, kasalukuyan nilang inaalam ang mga commercial establishments na dahilan ng polusyon sa Bangkulasi River.
Target ng ahensya na mabawasan ang coliform level sa ilog.
Katuwang ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), magsasagawa rin ang DENR ng desludging activities sa lugar.
Una nang inutos ni Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu na dapat ay maging malinis na ang Bangkulasi River bago matapos ang 2019.
