Rape case sa isang writing workshop iimbestigahan ng CHR

Ikinabahala ng Commission on Human Rights (CHR) ang pag-dismiss ng Mindanao Creative Writers Group, Inc. (MCWG) sa reklamong umano’y rape ng isa sa kanilang mga participant sa ginawa nilang National Writing Workshop sa Iligan City.

Ayon sa tagapagsalita ng CHR na si Atty. Jacqueline Ann de Guia, isang menor-de-edad ang biktima ng umano’y panggagahasa ng isang keynote speaker at panelist  sa katatapos pa lang na 26th Iligan National Writer’s Workshop.

Aniya nangyari ang umano’y pangagahasa habang ginagawa ang nasabing workshop na sponsored ng National Commission for Culture and Arts ng Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of technology.

Tiniyak ni Atty. de Guia na magsasagawa rin sila ng imbestigasyon at makikipagugnayan din sila sa pamunuan ng MCWG dahil ang reklamong rape ay isang seryosong krimen na kailangan may maparusahan.

Umaasa naman si de Guia na makikipagtulungan din sa kanila ang lahat ng mga sangkot na mga tao sa nasabing workshop.
