Duterte: BIR sunod nang lilinisin mula sa korapsyon
Matapos ang Bureau of Customs (BOC) sunod nang target ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kanyang anti-corruption campaign ang Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
Sa talumpati sa pagpapasinaya ng solar power project sa Romblon Miyerkules ng gabi, sinabi ng presidente na ilan sa mga revenue examiners ay posibleng sangkot sa mga iregularidad.
“Ang corruption sa itaas kaya dito ko binabantayan. May corrupt sa baba. Of course it affects a lot of Filipinos, checkpoint, customs, BIR. Ngayon sunod BIR,” ayon sa pangulo.
Iginiit ng pangulo na nabubusog ang ilang revenue examiners sa pangingikil ng pera mula sa mga taxpayer kapalit ng pagpapababa sa tax assessment o pagplantsa sa tax deficiencies.
“Sasabihin niya magbigay ka ng ganito pero ok we will asses you at P5 million bigay mo sa amin P2 million 3 ibayad mo ganun… Ang nabubusog diyan examiners,” ayon sa pangulo.
Dismayado na si Duterte sa nagpapatuloy na korapsyon at nangakong babaguhin ang gobyerno.
“Alam mo ano ang gusto kong gawin bago ako mag-alis? Baka matakot kayo. Sabihin ko lang aalis na ako, aalis talaga ako. Bigyan lang ninyo ako ng limang araw. Do not f**k with me for one week, I will change government,” ani Duterte.
Sinabi ng presidente na hindi niya iiwan ang bansa nang wala sa kaayusan.
“I will not leave the Philippines in shambles. Hindi ako papayag” dagdag ng presidente.
