Ban sa pag-import ng pork at meat products sa Bohol ipinatupad

Nagpatupad ng ban sa pag-import ng pork at meat products sa buong lalawigan ng Bohol.

Iniutos ni Bohol Governor Arthur Yap ang ban kasunod ng mga ulat na may nasasawing mga baboy sa ilang lalawigan sa Luzon.

Ayon kay Yap, papayagan lamang ang pagpasok ng live pigs, pork at pork-related products sa Bohol kung may Veterinary Health Certificate mula sa licensed veterinarian at may karampatang shipping permit.

Si Yap ay dating kalihim ng Department of Agriculture (DA).

Bagaman wala pang kumpirmadong kaso ng African Swine Fever sa Pilipinas, sinabi ni Yap na hindi muna basta-basta tatanggap ng pork meat at pork-related products ang lalawigan mula sa ibang lugar.

Magsasagawa na rin ng vaccination at deworming activity para sa mga alagang baboy sa Bohol.
