PDEA pinuri ang PUP sa pagsasagawa ng random drug test
Welcome sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ang ginawang random mandatory drug tests ng Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) – Sta. Mesa sa mga estudyante at faculty members nito.
Sa isang pahayag araw ng Biyernes, pinuri ni PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino ang inisyatibo ng PUP.
Ayon sa PDEA official, ang suporta ng pamantasan sa anti-drug campaign ay makatutulong sa bansa at sa mga susunod pang henerasyon na sila ay malayo sa droga.
“The support of the academe to the national anti-drug campaign is helping keep our country and the future Filipino generations free from dangerous drugs,” ani Aquino.
Umaasa si Aquino na marami pang kolehiyo at unibersidad ang susunod sa yapak ng PUP.
Samantala, nangako si Aquino na tutulong ang ahensya sa mga estudyanteng magpopositibo sa iligal na droga.
Noong Huwebes, 800 estudyante mula sa limang kolehiyo at 200 staff at faculty ang isinailalim sa drug test.
Sinalubong ito ng kaliwa’t kanang kilos-protesta ng mga grupo ng mga mag-aaral.
Pero iginiit ni PUP President Emmanuel De Guzman na kailangang gawin ang drug test bilang pagtalima sa kautusan ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
