Mindanao ‘mafia’ group sa Philhealth, hindi sasantuhin ni Pangulong Duterte
Tiniyak ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang na hindi bibigyang proteksyon at lalong hindi kukunsintihin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang sinasabing ‘mafia’ sa PhilHealth na pinamumunuan ng Mindanao group.
Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, hindi hahayaan ni Pangulong Duterte na magkaroon ng iregularidad sa pamahalaan kahit na ano pa ang relasyon o kahit na matalik na kaibigan ng Punong Ehekutibo.
“Si Presidente pa naku… of all people. He will never allow or tolerate any irregularity or corruption in this government regardless of any relationship to him, or whether or not those people are allied with him politically,” pahayag ni Panelo.
Sa ngayon, sinabi ni Panelo na hahayaan na muna ng Palasyo ang Ombudsman na imbestigahan ang korupsyon sa PhilHealth.
Sa Senate hearing, araw ng Miyerkules (August 14), ibinulgar ni dating PhilHealth board member Dr. Roberto Salvador Jr. na ang Davao group na sina Khaliquzzaman Macabato, Regional Vice President (RVP) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao; Atty. Valerie Anne H. Hollero, assistant corporate secretary; Datu Masiding Alonto Jr., RVP for Northern Mindanao; William Chavez, RVP for Central Visayas; at Paolo Johann Perez, RVP for Mimaropa ang may kontrol sa ‘mafia’ kung saan kinukurakot ang pondo ng PhilHealth.
