Indonesian Navy training ship nasa Pilipinas para sa 4 na araw na goodwill visit

Nasa Pilipinas ngayon ang isang training ship ng Indonesian Navy para sa apat na araw na goodwill visit.

Dumating sa Maynila ang KRI Bima Suci, Lunes ng umaga na ikalawang beses na nitong pagbisita sa bansa.

Sakay ng barko ang 15 officers, 74 crew members, 18 training staff at 83 kadete.

Ipinangalan ang barko sa isang Javanese hero na simbolo ng lakas, katapangan at pagiging matuwid.

Ayon kay Bima Suci commander Tentara Nasional Indonesia-Angkatan Laut Lt. Col. Waluyo, ang pagbisita ng kanilang barko ay pagpapakita ng malalim na defense cooperation ng Pilipinas at Indonesia.

“This cooperation is part of Indonesia’s commitments to participate in maintaining security in the Southeast Asia which focus on capability building in supporting the peace missions and maintaining borders maritime securities,” ani Waluyo.

Sa kasasagan ng goodwill visit, magkakaroon ng serye ng confidence-building engagements ang Philippine at Indonesian Navies kabilang ang “reciprocal receptions”, “goodwill games” at “shipboard tour”.

Unang bumisita sa bansa ang Bima Suci noong October 2018.
