Bangka lumubog sa Samar; 49 pasahero at 7 crew nailigtas

Nailigtas ang 49 pasahero at pitong crew member ng lumubog na bangka sa karagatang sakop ng Calbayog City, Lunes ng umaga.

Ayon sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), umalis ang mga biktima sakay ng M/B Miar Romcis sa Calbayog City Port bandang 11:00 ng umaga.

Nakatanggap ng tawag ang PCG mula sa isang concerned citizen at ipinaalam ang nasabing insidente.

Agad rumesponde at nagsagawa ng search and rescue operations ang PCG Station Western Samar Quick Response Team katuwang ang City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC), Philippine National Police (PNP) Maritime Group at Lite Ferries.

Papunta sana ang mga biktima sa Tagapul-an, Western Samar nang madala ang sinasakyang bangka ng malakas na hangin at alon dahilan para lumubog ito.

Dinala ang mga biktima sa PNP Maritime Group sa Calbayog city at binigyan ng tulong-medikal.

Tiniyak naman ng PCG na nasa maayos nang kondisyon ang mga biktima.
