Fishing vessel na may lulang pitong Pinoy lumubog sa Brunei

Isang bangkang pangisda ang lumubog sa karagatang sakop ng Brunei na may lumang pitong Pinoy.

Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) labingisang crew ang sakay ng Brunei-flagged fishing vessel at pito dito ay pawang Filipino.

Ang “Radims 2” ay bumaligtad at lumubog noong Linggo at patuloy ang pag-monitor ng Philippine Embassy sa Brunei sa development sa insidente.

Sa ulat ni Ambassador to Brunei Christopher Montero nakikipag-ugnayan sila sa Brunei authorities para sa update sa isinasagawang joint search and rescue operations ng mga otoridad ng Brunei at Malaysia.

Sa isinagawang search and rescue operations kahapon ay walang natagpuang crew ng barko.

Ayon sa Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), huling nakausap ng may-ari ng Radims 2 ang kapitan ng barko noong August 7.

Dahil hindi na na-contact muli, humingi na ng tulong ang National Search and Rescue Coordination Committee ng Brunei sa Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency para mahanap ang mga nawawalang crew.
