Patas na imbestigasyon sa Iloilo-Guimaras sea accident tiniyak ng DOTr
Tiniyak ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na magsasagawa ng patas na imbestigasyon sa malagim na aksidente sa Iloilo-Guimaras Strait na ikinasawi ng mahigit 30 katao.
Ikinasa na ng DOTr, sa pamamagitan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) ang inter-agency probe sa naturang trahedya.
Tututok ang investigating body sa umiiral na protocols sa pagsuspinde ng paglalayag ng mga motorboat kapag masama ang panahon.
Inaasahang makabubuo ng rekomendasyon para mas maisaayos at mapagtibay pa ang umiiral na rules lalo na sa mga wooden hull motorboat.
Una rito, iniutos ni DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade na masibak sa pwesto ang mga opisyal ng PCG stations sa Iloilo at Guimaras at MARINA Western Visayas Regional Office para matiyak ang patas na imbestigasyon.
