NBI tutulong sa pagberipika ng umano’y mga banta ng terorismo sa N. Luzon
Aatasan ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na tumulong sa iba pang intelligence agencies sa pagberipika ng umano’y bantang paghahasik ng kaguluhan sa Northern Luzon.
Magugunitang nagpahayag ng pagkabahala si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa posibilidad ng pag-atake ng Islamic State of Irad and Syria sa bansa.
Ayon sa pangulo, ipinananalangin at iniluluhod niya sa Panginoon na maiadya ang Pilipinas sa anumang uri ng karahasan ng teroristang grupo.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Guevarra na bukod sa iligal na droga, prayoridad ng DOJ ang terorismo.
“I will direct the NBI to coordinate with other intelligence agencies to verify this alleged entry of ISIS-affiliated terrorists into our country. Terrorism, aside from illegal drugs, is a priority focus area of the DOJ,” ani Guevarra.
Napaulat na naghigpit na ng seguridad ang Northern Luzon Command (NolCom) ng militar sa ilang mga lugar kabilang ang Manaoag Church sa Pangasinan.
Sinasabing target na paghasikan ng gulo ay ang Manaoag, Pangasinan, Tuguegarao Cagayan, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, at Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
