Pangulong Duterte, nakiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Eid al-Adha
Nakiisa si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga Muslim sa paggunita ng Eid’l Adha o ‘Festival of Sacrifice.’
Sa mensahe ng pangulo, binanggit ng pangulo na isa sa mga halimbawa ng malalim na pananampalataya ang pagkukusa ni Ibrahim na ialay ang buhay ng kaniyang anak na lalaki para sundin ang kautusan si Allah.
Ang Eid’l Adha ay hindi lamang aniya pagtuturo ng personal na pagsasakripisyo kundi ang pagtuturo ng value of submission sa higher authority o sa may likha na higit na nakaalam sa kung ano ang mas nakabubuti.
“This account not only teaches us the importance of personal sacrifice, but also inculcates in us the value of submission of higher authority, even though, at times, our feelings and emotions compel us otherwise,” pahayag ng pangulo.
Hinihikayat ng pangulo ang mga Muslim na isabuhay ang aral at palalimin pa ang pananampalataya kay Allah.
“Let us, therefore, reflect on the lessons we can learn today to deepen our faith and strengthen our resolve to bring about a society that is worthy of Allah’s continued blessings and protection,” dagadag pa ng pangulo.
