Balik-normal na ang operasyon ng South Harbor sa Maynila Biyernes ng hapon matapos ang naranasang backlog at mahabang pila ng mga trak.

Dahil sa masamang panahon ay sinuspinde ng Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) ang Terminal Appointment Booking System (TABS).

Dahil dito ay inihinto ng Asian Terminals Inc. (ATI) ang pagtanggap ng mga delivery trucks at container vans sa Manila South Harbor.

Nagresulta naman ito ng matinding trapik sa Roxas Boulevard hanggang Road 10 bunsod ng mahabang pila ng mga trak na hindi nakapasok sa South Harbor.

Pero sinabi ng PPA na alas 5:00 Biyernes ng hapon ay pinoproseso na sa loob ng terminal ang 80 percent ng backlog ng tinatayang 1,000 na mga box ng kargamento.

“As of 5PM today, 80% of the backlog of approximately 1,000 boxes are already inside the terminal for processing. Terminal now back to full commercial operations,” nakasaad sa Facebook post ng PPA.
