Mga Pinoy sa Congo pinag-iingat sa Ebola virus

Pinag-iingat ng Philippine Embassy sa Nairobi ang mga Pinoy sa Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) dahil sa dumaraming kaso ng ebola doon.

Sa pahayag ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), umiiral ang outbreak ng ebola virus sa DRC at patuloy ang monitoring nito sa sitwasyon.

Idineklara na ng World Health Organization ang ebola bilang Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) at inirekomenda ang pagpapatupad ng heightened health measures sa DRC.

Umabot na sa 1,700 ang nasawi sa DRC mula nang mag-umpisa ang outbreak.

Hinikayat ng Philippine Embassy sa Nairobi, na siyang may husrisdiksyon sa DRC ang mga Filipino na laging maging maingat at magpatupad ng health safety precautions.

Sa latest na datos mula sa DFA ay mayroong 142 na Pinoy sa DRC.
