Pangulong Duterte pinadaragdagan ang PNP-SAF vs ISIS
Palalakasin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pwersa ng pamahalaan sa gitna ng banta ng terorismo partikular ng Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Sa talumpati sa oath taking mga bagong Philippine National Police (PNP) officers sa Malacañang araw ng Huwebes, sinabi ni Duterte na nais niya ng karagdagang pito hanggang sampung libong PNP-Special Action Force troopers.
“We are facing so many fronts. I need more soldiers. I would need about an additional of 7 to 10 (thousand) SAF troopers kasi palaki nang palaki ang problema,” ayon sa pangulo.
Ayon sa pangulo, inakala ng gobyerno na hihina na ang pwersa ng mga terorista.
Gayunman, dahil sa presensya ng ISIS leaders sa Southeast Asia ay pinangangambahan ang terorismo.
“We thought all the while that it would somehow wane, medyo hihina na. Apparently with the migration of a lot of ISIS leaders [to] Southeast Asia, we will have terrorism,” dagdag ng pangulo.
Inatasan ng presidente si PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde na simulan na ang recruitment ng mga bagong pulis na isasali sa SAF para maharap ng bansa ang mga panganib.
“Maybe General Albayalde can at least start on this project. Talagang gasgasin niyo husto ‘yung sundalo para we can meet the coming dangers ahead,” ani Duterte.
