Security advisory ng US government sa NAIA inialis na
Binawi na ng US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) ang inilabas na security advisory sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport noong December 2018.
Ayon sa isang pahayag ng DHS na inilabas araw ng Huwebes, ipinag-utos ni Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin K. McAleenan na ang agarang pagbawi sa public notice ukol sa security conditions sa NAIA.
Ang paglalabas ng public notice noong Disyembre ay matapos makitaang bigo ang Pilipinas na magpatupad at magmintena ng ‘international security standards’ at ‘recommended practices’ na binuo ng International Civil Aviation Organization.
Ayon sa DHS, matapos ang ilang buwang pakikipag-ugnayan sa Estados Unidos, ang gobyerno ng Pilipinas ay nakalikha nang magandang pagbabago sa security operations sa airport.
Nagpakita umano ang Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) at ang civil aviation security authorities ng Pilipinas ng kahandaang ipagpatuloy ang mga pagbabagong ito.
“After months of direct engagement with the United States, the Government of the Philippines has made significant improvements to the security operations of MNL. Both the Manila International Airport Authority and the Government of the Philippines civil aviation security authorities have demonstrated they are willing to work toward sustaining those improvements,” nakasaad sa pahayag ng DHS.
Tiniyak ng DHS, kasama ang US Transportation Security Administration (TSA), na kaisa sila ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas sa pagsiguro sa ‘strong security posture’ sa Maynila at mapagbuti pa ang ‘global aviation security’.
“DHS and TSA remain committed to working with the Government of the Philippines to help ensure a strong security posture at MNL and enhance global aviation security,” dagdag ng DHS.
