PCSO pinaiimbestigahan sa hindi pagreremit ng tamang halaga sa gobyerno

Pinaiimbestigahan sa Kamara ni Quezon City 2nd District Rep. Precious Hipolito Castelo ang umanoy hindi pagreremit ng tamang kita ng Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) sa gobyerno.

Base sa resolusyon ni Castelo, nais nitong magsagawa ng “investigation in aid of legislation” ang House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability sa sinasabing mahigit P8 bilyon na umanoy hindi ineremit sa national treasury.

Paliwanag ni Castelo, sa COA report mula 1994 hanggang 2016 ay kumita ang PCSO ng P16.85 bilyon kaya dapat ay nagbigay ito sa pamahalaan ng P8.42 bilyon.

Base anya sa RA 7656, malinaw na kailangang ideklera at iremit ng isang GOCC ang kanyang 50% kita kada taon sa pamahalaan, ito man anya ay cash, stocks o property dividends.
