Pagtanggal ng martial law sa Davao City suportado ng pulisya at militar
Suportado ng militar at pulisya ang pag-alis sa martial law sa Davao City.
Ito ay makaraang ipasa ng Sangguniang Panglungsod ng Davao ang resolusyon na humihimok kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na alisin na ang batas militar.
Ayon kay Eastern Mindanao Command chief Lt. Gen. Felimon Santos, nagkaroon ng improvement sa sitwasyon sa seguridad sa Davao City dahilan para ipasa ng city council ang resolusyon.
Maaari umanong tanggalin ang martial law ngunit ito ay desisyon pa rin ng pangulo at dapat timbanging mabuti.
“We support ‘yung whatever the local chief executive wants and we presented already ‘yung improvement ng security sa Davao City so it’s their resolution but we presented ‘yung improvement ng security situation which pwede namang ilift but of course it’s up to the ano… political decision ‘yan eh,” ani Santos.
Pero pagtitiyak ni Santos, maganda ang seguridad sa Davao City sa kasalukuyan.
“But it’s up to the higher level because maybe they are still seeing that terror threat may still spill over in some places which is what we have been preventing. But we are assured that the security in Davao City is well-established as of now,” dagdag ng military official.
Para naman sa Police Regional Office-11 (PRO-11), sinabi ni spokesperson Maj. Jason Baria na suportado nila nang buong-buo ang pag-alis sa martial law sa lungsod.
Iginiit ni Baria na nabawasan ang bilang ng krimen sa Davao City at ligtas ito sa anumang uri ng terorismo.
Ayon naman kay Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director Col. Alexander Tagum, alisin man o hindi ang martial law ay walang magbabago sa antas ng security operations na ipinatutupad sa lungsod.
