Search operations para sa mga biktima ng Iloilo-Guimaras sea tragedy itinigil na

Inihinto na ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang search and rescue operations para sa mga biktima ng Iloilo-Guimaras sea tragedy.

Ayon kay PCG spokesman Captain Armand Balilo, ihinto na kahapon ang search and rescue operations dahil narekober na ang 31 nasawi at nailigtas ang 65 katao kung saan 52 ay pasahero at 13 ay crew members.

Lahat anya ay ‘accounted’ na at wala nang pamilyang naghahanap pa ng kaanak.

“Search and rescue operations are finished. All have been accounted for. No more families are looking for their relatives,” ani Balilo.

Magugunitang lumubog sa katubigan sa pagitan ng Iloilo at Guimaras noong Sabado ang M/B Chi-Chi, M/B Keziah 2 at M/B Jenny Vince.

Dahil sa pagtatapos ng search operations, sinabi naman ni Balilo na magsisimula na ang imbestigasyon para malaman kung sino ang dapat papanagutin sa insidente at ano ang dahilan nito.
