Malacanang hindi makikialam sa pagbuhay sa Mamasapano case
Hands off ang Malacanang sa desisyon ng Korte Suprema na bawiin na ang Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) para sa Mamasapano trial sa Sandiganbayan.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, hahayaan lamang ng palasyo ang korte na gampanan ang kanilang tungkulin.
Base sa desisyon ng Supreme Court, binabawi na nito ang TRO para sa Mamasapano trial kung saan kinasuhan ng graft at usurpation of authority si dating Pangulong Benigno Aquino III dahil sa pagkamatay ng apatnaput apat na commandos ng Special Action Force (SAF) sa Mamasapano, Maguindanao noong January taong 2015.
Ayon kay Panelo, patuloy na isusulong ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at ng kanyang administratsyon ang rule of law at hindi makikialam kahit na ano pa man ang political at social stature ng sinumang nasasakdal sa alinmang korte.
Tiwala aniya ang palasyo na magagampanan ng Office of the Ombudsman at ng Sandiganbayan ang kani kanilang mandato.
Umaasa din ang palasyo na tatalima si Aquino sa “majesty of the law”.
“In accordance with the policy that has long been practiced by this Administration, we refuse to comment on the action undertaken by the Supreme Court, which belongs to a separate and independent branch of government from ours. We cannot and we do not intend to interfere with the functions of other branches which are distinct from the Executive,” dagdag pa ni Panelo./
