Refill Revolution para sa food products inilunsad ng DENR at NutriAsia
Para pangalagaan ang kapaligiran ay inilunsad ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) at NutriAsia ang “Refill Revolution” sa mga barangay sa Central Luzon.
Layunin nito ang paggamit ng mga reusable contrainers para sa ilang mga condiments imbes na ilagay sa mga sachet o plastic canister.
Pinaka-huli sa mga lugar kung saan matatagpuan ang refilling station para sa mga condiments mula sa NutriAsia ay itinayo sa Brgy. Caingin sa Bocaue, Bulacan.
Ang mga residente sa mga lugar na mayroong refilling station ay pwede nang magdala ng kanilang sariling lalagyan sa susunod na pagbili nila Datu Puti vinegar at soy sauce.
Sa kanilang pahayag ay sinabi ng Environmental Management Bureau(EMB) Central Luzon Director Lormelyn Claudio na magandang simula ito para maisulong ang pag-recycle sa mga plastic contrainers lalo na iyung mga pwedeng gamitin sa ilang food products.
“Decreasing the amount of waste created by disposable packaging will be a very difficult task, but with the implementation of these different refill processes across Central Luzon, later on replicated in other regions, it may still be possible,” ayon pa sa opisyal.
Kaugnay nito ay hinikayat rin ni Claudio ang iba pang mga kumpanya at local government units na sundan ang nasabing kampanya para pangalagaan ang kapaligiran sa pamamagitan ng pagbawas sa paggamit ng plastic materials sa mga produkto.
Paliwanag pa ng opisyal, “We hope that this recycling program becomes bigger than a one-day event. We hope NutriAsia can have more refilling stations in the future, and that they will be able to participate in our future events as well as similar events as Refill Revolution gets replicated by local governments and establishments.”
Ang Refill Revolution na suportado ng mga local officials at DENR ay napapakinabangan na ngayon ng ilang mga residente sa ilang mga barangay sa mga lalawigan ng Bulacan, Pampanga, at Bataan.
