Duterte gagawa ng marahas na hakbang para tugunan ang patayan sa Negros Oriental

Nagbabala si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na gagawa siya ng “drastic” o marahas na hakbang para tugunan ang karahasan sa bansa kasunod ng mga patayan sa Negros Oriental.

Sa kanyang talumpati sa anibersarsyo ng Bureau of Fire Protection sa Pasay City Huwebes ng gabi, sinabi ng Pangulo na malamang na hindi magustuhan ng publiko ang kanyang gagawin.

“I will explain in the coming days. But I’m about to do something drastic. It will not sit well with everybody, maybe including you, but it is needed,” ani Duterte.

Iginiit naman ng Pangulo na wala siyang plano na maging diktador.

“Sinabi ko sa inyo, wala akong ambisyon mag-diktador.”

Hindi ipinaliwanag ng Pangulo ang kanyang sinabi na gagawin na “something drastic” pero una nang sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na maaaring magdeklara ang Presidente ng martial law sa Negros Oriental dahil sa mga patayan sa lalawigan.

Binalaan naman nito ang New People’s Army (NPA) na dapat nilang itigil ang kanilang panggugulo.

“In some parts of the PH, everything is not going well. [I’m talking] about Negros; the killing there has not stopped. It has gone unabated, unbridled, unstoppable, at lahat ng halos na barangay captain, nasa atin, yun yung legal natin eh. Namamatay. Pinapatay talaga ng mga p…i…So itong NPA, nagwa-warning ako, this cannot go on.”

Sinabi pa ng Pangulo na pwede niyang armasan ang mga bumbero para magpatupad ng peace ang order.

“You know you have to help in the law and order. You are not limited to just fire. That’s a bull shit idea. You have to go around and help the policeman and the military,” pahayag ni Duterte.
