Pilipinas, nagsumite ng diplomatic protest para sa Pag-asa Island

Nagsumite ang gobyerno ng Pilipinas ng diplomatic protest dahil sa mga namataang daan-daang chinese vessel na umaaligid sa Pag-asa Island sa South China Sea.

Ang inihaing diplomatic protest ay inanunsiyo ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro “Teddy” Locsin Jr. sa kaniyang Twitter account.

Paliwanag ng kalihim, ikinasa ang nasabing hakbang matapos ang rekomendsyon ni National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr.

Noong July 24, sinabi ni Esperon na nasa 113 Chinese vessels ang nakitang nag-iikot sa Pag-asa Island.
