Coast Guard magkakaroon ng dalawang bagong multi-role helicopter

Magkakaroon ng dalawang bagong helicopters ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Ayon sa coast guard, sa December 2019 ay nakatakdang dumating sa banasa ang dalawang lightweight twin-engine multi-role helicopters na EC145 T2 na binili sa Germany.

Ang kumpanyang Airbus Helicopters ang nagdisenyo at nag-develop ng bagong chopper.

Ayon sa coast guard, ang naturang air assets ay mayroong weather radar at Forward Looking InfraRed, high frequency radios, emergency flotation gear, fast roping, cargo sling, search light, at electro-optical systems.

Malaking bagay umano ito sa mga critical mission gaya ng search and rescue, medical evacuation, maritime patrol at law enforcement.

Mayroong maximum speed na 267 kilometers per hour o 166 miles per hour ang dalawang helicopter.
