Pasahe sa PUVs awtomatiko nang ibabatay sa galaw ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo

Naglabas ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ng isang memorandum circular para sa automatic fare adjustment system sa public utility vehicles (PUVs).

Sa ilalim ng Memorandum Circular No. 2019-035 na may petsang July 26, awtomatiko nang ibabatay ng LTFRB sa galaw ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo ang galaw sa pasahe.

Nangangahulugan itong hindi na dadaan pa sa pagdinig ng LTFRB ang mga hirit na pagtaas o pagbawas sa halaga ng pasahe.

Sa halip, ibabatay ang halaga ng pasahe sa presyo ng diesel at gasolina na isasailalim sa review kada anim na buwan.

Sakop ng fare formula ang lahat ng public utility jeepneys, buses, taxis, at UV Express units.

Sa ilalim ng formula ay aalamin ang porsyento ng itinaas ng presyo sa loob ng anim na buwan at isasaalang-alang ang 35 porsyentong gastos ng isang PUV sa produktong petrolyo.

Sakaling mapag-aralan na ang fare adjustment ay agad na maghahanda ng fare matrix ang LTFRB

Epektibo ang galaw sa pasahe 10 araw matapos mailathala sa pahayagan, LTFRB website at bulletin board ng ahensya.

“Once established, a fare matrix will be prepared by the LTFRB. The fare adjustment shall become effective 10 days from publication in a journal newspaper of general circulation and posting in the LTFRB website and bulletin board in the LTFRB office,” ayon sa circular.

Kung may malaking pagbabago sa presyo ng petrolyo, sinabi ni LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra na ire-review agad ang pasahe kahit wala pang anim na buwan.

Samantala, epektibo na ang memorandum circular ng LTFRB para sa automatic fare adjustment system kapag nailathala na rin sa pahayagan at makapagbigay ng tatlong kopya sa UP Law Center.
