Kasong Plunder laban sa 4 na tauhan ng BIR, isinampa sa DOJ

Pinalilitis ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa Department of Justice (DOJ) ang apat na tauhan ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) sa Pasig City na nasakote sa entrapment operation ng NBI at Presidential Anti Corruption Commission (PACC) noong July 20 matapos tumanggap ng P75 million marked money.

Kabilang sa mga pinasasalang sa preliminary investigation ng DOJ sina Alfredo O. Pagdilao, Jr., Agripina R. Vallestero na pawang arestado kasama rin ang dalawang respondent na nakalalaya pa na sina Rufo B. Ranario at Michelle E. Dela Torre.

Ang apat ay nahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa plunder law o Republic Act 7080, RA 3019 o anti graft and corrupt practices act at paglabag sa Revised Penal Code partikular ang robbery through intimidation o extortion.

Ang apat na respondent ay isinuplong sa NBI ng PACC dahil sa reklamo ng mga taxpayer sa BIR RDO kaugnay sa multi-million pesos extortion na dito ay humihingi ng P160 million upang maareglo ang malaking utang sa buwis ng isang telecommunication company.
