Power plants sa Batanes, hindi napinsala ng lindol
Kinumpirma ng Department of Energy (DOE) na hindi napinsala ang mga power plant na nagsusupply ng kuryente sa Batanes matapos mangyari ang 5.9 magnitude na lindol sa probinsya.
Base sa monitoring ng Task Force on Energy Resiliency, normal ang operasyon ng mga power plant at hindi ito naapektuhan ng nasabing pagyanig.
Nakahadang mag operate ang Itbayat Diesel Power Plant kapag handa na ang distribution system ng Batanes Electric Cooperative (Batanelco).
Patuloy naman ang assesment ng Batanelco sa mga linya ng kuryente sa mga tininuturing ng mga critical infrastracture tulad ng hospital, communication center, at mga sangay ng pamahalaan.
Sa papamamgitan ng National Electrification Administration, magpapahiram ng mga generators ang Cagayan I Electric Cooperative at Isabela II Electric Cooperative.
Mayroon naman sapat ng supply ng petrolyo ang Petron sa isla na tatagal hanggang dalawang buwan.
