WHO muling nagbabala sa paggamit ng e-cigarettes

Naglabas ng panibagong babala ang World Health Organization (WHO) kaugnay sa paggamit ng vape o e-cigarettes.

Sinabi ng WHO na dapat gawing regulated ang pagbebenta ng nasabing produkto.

Ipinaliwanag ng WHO na bagaman mababa ang toxin levels ng ilang brand ng vape pero ang battery-operated device na ginagamit para dito ay nagdudulot rin ng panganib sa kalusugan ng isang tao.

“Although the specific level of risk associated with ENDS (electronic nicotine delivery systems) has not yet been conclusively estimated, ENDS are undoubtedly harmful and should therefore be subject to regulation,” ayon pa sa WHO.

Nilinaw rin ng grupo na hindi nakakatulong ang vape para sa mga gusting umiwas sa paninigarilyo dahil sa taglay na nicotine ng chemical na ginagamit dito.

Dagdag pa ng WHO, “In most countries where they are available, the majority of e-cigarette users continue to use e-cigarettes and cigarettes concurrently, which has little to no beneficial impact on health risk and effects.”

Binanggit rin sa ulat ng WHO na ilang mga malalaking tobacco companies ang nasa likod ng pagpapakalat ng vape.
