“Huwag magpakalunod sa kapangyarihan at yaman”-Pope Francis
Pinangunahan ni Pope Francis ang Christmas Eve mass sa St. Peter’s Basilica sa Vatican.
Sa kaniyang mensahe sa nasabing misa, pinayuhan ng Santo Papa sa mahigit isang bilyong Katoliko sa buong mundo na huwag magpakalunod sa kapangyarihan at kayamanan.
Ayon kay Pope Francis dapat alalahanin at gawing inspirasyon ang pagiging simple noong sanggol pa lamang si Hesukristo at noong siya ay isinilang sa sabsaban.
“In a society so often intoxicated by consumerism and hedonism, wealth and extravagance, appearances and narcissism, this Child calls us to act soberly, in other words, in a way that is simple, balanced, consistent, capable of seeing and doing what is essential,” ayon sa Santo Papa sa kaniyang homily.
Ang nasabing Christmas Eve mass ay dinaluhan ng aabot sa 10,000 katao.
