Mapapabilis na ang biyahe ng ilang mga motorista na dumaraan sa Taguig at Pasay matapos buksan ang segment ng C5 Southlink Expressway, Martes ng gabi.
Ang flyover na may habang 2.2 kilometro ay tumatawid sa South Luzon Expressway at nagdurugtong sa mga lungsod ng Pasay at Taguig.
Ayon kay Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Vllar, mababawasan ng kalahati ang karaniwang isa’t kalahating oras na biyahe mula Villamor Airbase sa Pasay patungong Taguig City.
Sa pagbubukas ng first section ng Cavitex C5 Southlink, inaasahang makikinabang ang nasa 8,000 sasakyan kada araw.
Inaasahang makapagpapaluwag sa daloy ng trapiko sa SLEX East, West Service Roads at EDSA ang flyover.
