Suportado ng Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) ang House Speakership bid ni Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano.
Ayon kay Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, 41 kongresista mula sa NPC ang sumang-ayon na iboto si Cayetano bilang susunod na House Speaker.
Inihayag na rin ni Pampanga Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, executive vice president ng PDP-Laban, na iboboto ng kanilang partido si Cayetano.
Nirerespeto aniya ng kanilang hanay ang kahilingan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Nakatakdang isagawa ang botohan sa magiging susunod na Speaker bago ang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ng Punong Ehekutibo sa July 22.
