Cebu importer at broker kinasuhan; mga mamahaling sasakyan idineklarang car accessories lang para makaiwas sa buwis
Nagsampa ng kaso ang Bureau of Customs (BOC) laban sa isang importer at isang customs broker dahil sa hindi idineklarang mga luxury vehicles.
Kabilang sa inireklamo dahil sa misdeclaration sina Melanie Yason Serrano, ng Kyleman General Merchandise sa Cebu at ang Licensed Customs Broker na si Erwin Roy Vito Rojas.
Ito ay matapos hindi ideklara ang totoong laman ng shipment na dumating sa Port of Cebu noong December 19, 2018.
Laman ng nasabing shipment ang isang Range Rover, isang Mercedes Benz, isang Porsche 911 at isang Alfa Romeo.
Car accessories lamang umano ang deklarasyon sa nasabing mga kargamento para makaiwas sa pagbabayad ng malaking buwis.
Nabatid na P35 million ang hindi binayaran ng consignee para sa duties at taxes ng mga mamahaling sasakyan at sa halip ay P119,000 lamang ang binayaran.
