Mosyon ni Robredo na tapusin na ang electoral protest laban sa kanya ibinasura ng PET
Ibinasura ng Supreme Court ang hirit ni Vice President Leni Robredo na kaagad nang maglabas ng resolusyon sa petisyon ni dating Sen. Bongbong Marcos.
Sa kanilang resolusyon an inilabas noong July 2, sinabi ng Supreme Court na gumaganap ng tungkulin bilang Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) na premature pa na maituturing ang petisyon ni Robredo.
Kaugnay ito sa hirit ng pangalawang pangulo na tapusin na ang isyu at ideklara siya bilang lehitimong nanalo bilang vice president noong 2016 national elections.
Resulta umano ito ng ginawang manual recount of vote sa Camarines Sur, Iloilo at Negros Oriental.
Ang grupo ni Robredo ay nagsumite ng kanilang sariling computation na nagpapakita ng mataas na lamang ni Robredo laban kay Marcos.
Sinalungat naman ito ng grupo ng dating senador sa pagsasabing “self-serving” ang nasabing mga datos.
“The figures submitted by protestee are merely speculative. In arriving at the figures, protestee presumes that all her claims will be admitted by the Tribunal,”ayon naman sa PET.
Bilang tugon sa mosyon, sinabi ng PET na hindi pa rin nila natatapos ang proceedings sa election protest kung saan kabilang dito ang judicial recount, revision, at appreciation of the votes cast sa mga lugar na nauna nang kinuwestyon ng kampo ni Marcos.
“This premise is fundamentally flawed as the Tribunal is still in the process of appreciation of the revised ballots and ruling on the respective objections and claims made by the parties thereon,” it added, noting that its final tally “has yet to be completed and released,” dagdag pa ng PET.
