LGUs inutusan na pigilan ang pagkalat ng dengue
Inutusan ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) araw ng Miyerkules ang mga lokal na pamahalaan na gumawa ng mga hakbang para mapigilan ang patuloy na pagtaas ng kaso ng dengue.
Naalarma si Interior Secretary Eduardo Año sa naging pagtaas ng kaso ng sakit at agad na pinakikilos ang mga local government units.
“The alarming increase of dengue cases in several areas should prompt LGUs to act now and act fast in arresting the spread of dengue in their respective areas. We should not allow dengue to debilitate our communities,” ani Año.
Partikular na ipinag-utos ni Año sa local chief executives ang pakikipag-ugnayan sa Department of Health (DOH) para mahanap ang pinamumugaran ng lamok sa kanilang mga lugar at ang pagsasagawa ng clean-up drives.
Ang direktiba ng kalihim ay matapos ideklara ng DOH ang National Dengue Alert makaraang umabot na sa 106,030 ang dengue cases hanggang June 29.
