Operasyon ng construction site sa Maynila kung saan may nahulugan ng kable ng crane pinatigil

Ipinahinto ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang operasyon sa isang construction site kung saan isang trabahador ng nasawi matapos mahulugan ng kable ng crane sa Sampaloc, Maynila.

Ayon sa DOLE, inilabas ang Work Stoppage Order (WSO) sa Momentum Construction and Development Corporation.

Ipinag-utos ni DOLE National Capital Region (NCR) Regional Director Sarah Buena Mirasol ang pagpapahinto ng konstruksyon ng kumpanya at subcontractor nito base sa resulta ng imbestigasyon sa aksidente noong araw ng Linggo, July 14.

Kinilala ng DOLE ang biktima na si John Erick Marcoso.

Ayon sa kagawaran, lumabas na imbestigasyon na mayroong ‘grave and imminent danger’ sa kalusugan at kaligtasan ng mga trabahao sa site.

Ipinunto sa order ang mga occupational safety at health violations tulad ng Rule 1020 at hindi sapat na safety officers at safety signages.

Kulang din ang construction site sa OSH program, 8-hour mandatory OSH orientation sa mga trabahador at occupational health physicians.

Sinabi ng DOLE na hindi rin rehistrado ang subcontractors ng kumpanya sa Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board matapos hindi magsumite ng kumpletong Safety and Health Organization and Annual Medical reports.

Tiniyak naman ng tanggap ng DOLE NCR ang pagbibigay ng tulong sa pamilya ng biktima.
