Mga tauhan ng BOC isinalang sa surprise drug test

Nagsagawa ng surprise drug testing ang Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa kanilang mga opisyal at empleyado, araw ng Lunes.

Matapos ang flag raising ceremony, agad isinagawa ang drug testing sa mga tauhan ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) at Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force (CAIDTF).

Naging katuwang ng BOC sa drug testing ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Kumuha ang mga chemist mula sa PDEA ng urine sample sa mga empleyado ng Office of the Commissioner, Port of Manila at Manila International Container Port.

Ayon kay Deputy Commissioner Raniel Ramiro, ikinasa ang drug testing kasunod ng Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 13 series of 2018 na layong matiyak na walang empleyado sa ahensya ang sangkot sa ilegal na droga.

Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ng BOC na sinumang tumangging sumailalim sa drug testing nang walang balidong rason ay bibigyan ng show cause order ng Commissioner.

Sakaling mayroon namang empleyadong magpositibo ay dadaan sa iba pang confirmatory test.
