LTFRB umapela sa ACTO na huwag ituloy ang planong transport strike ngayong araw

Nanawagan ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) sa Alliance of Concerned Transport Organization (ACTO) na ipagpaliban ang planong transport strike ngayong araw ng Lunes, July 15.

Sa isang pahayag Linggo ng gabi, sinabi ng LFTRB na dapat unahin ng ACTO ang kapakanan ng mga mananakay dahil ang planong strike ng grupo ay magdudulot lamang ng abala.

Ipinoprotesta ng ACTO ang Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) ng gobyerno na sinimulan noong 2017.

Nanindigan ang LTFRB sa layunin ng PUVMP na mailagay sa ayos ang kapakanan ng mga drayber at operator habang sinisiguro ang kapakanan ng mga mananakay.

Iginiit pa ng ahensya na ang mga major transport groups ay nakiisa sa kanilang pagkondena sa transport strike ng ACTO kasabay ng pagpapahiwatig ng mga ito suporta sa PUVMP.

Pero ayon kay ACTO President Efren de Luna, protesta ang kanilang gagawin ngayong araw at hindi transport strike.

Magmamartsa umano sila mula Quezon Memorial Circle hanggang LTFRB Office.
