Higit 3M batang Pinoy, naserbisyuhan ng feeding program ng gobyerno – DSWD

Naserbiyuhan ang nasa 3.9 na milyong batang Filipino ng feeding program ng gobyerno simula nang maupo sa pwesto si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, ayon sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Sa pre-State of the Nation Address (SONA) forum, sinabi ni DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista na nabibigyan ang mga kabataan ng mga masustansiya at local na pagkain.

Sa taong 2018, mahigit-kumulang 1.7 milyong kabataan ang naserbiyuhan ng DSWD sa mga day care center.

Sa parte naman ng Department of Education (DepEd), nasa 2.1 milyong undernourished na bata naman ang nabigyan ng mga pagkain na may high nutritional value.

Sa tulong ng feeding program, inihayag ng kalihim na nagkakaroon ito ng positibong epekto sa kalusugan at pag-aaral ng mga kabataan.

Ayon sa Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) ng Department of Science ang Technology (DOST), ang undernutrition ay isang uri ng malnutrition.
