Nagtalaga si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ng apat na bagong Associate Justices sa Court of Appeals (CA) at isang Associate Justice sa Court of Tax Appeals (CTA).
Sa anunsyo ng Malacañang araw ng Martes, ang bagong mga miyembro ng CA ay sina Manila judge Alfredo Ampuan, Rizal judge Lily Joy Biton, Makati judge Carlito Calpatura, at Quezon City judge Angelene Mary Quimpo-Sale.
Papalitan ng apat si Associate Justice Jose Reyes Jr. na itinalaga sa Supreme Court at ang tatlo pang nagretiro noong 2018.
Samantala, itinalaga ni Duterte bilang bagong AJ ng CTA si Manila judge Jean Marie Bacorro-Villena.
Ang appointment papers ng bagong associated justices ng dalawang korte ay nilagdaan ni Duterte noong Lunes, July 8.
Samantala, itinalaga naman sina Victor De Gracia bilang Director III ng Department of Education (DepEd); Felino Castro bilang Assistant Secretary ng Department of Information and Communications Technology at Ma. Minerva Paez-Collantes bilang commissioner ng employers’ sector ng National Labor Relations Commission.
