3rd telco na Mislatel binigyan na ni Duterte ng license to operate

Ginawaran na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ng license to operate ang Mislatel Consortium bilang third major telecommunications player sa bansa.

Ibinigay ni Duterte ang Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity sa Mislatel na pag-aari ng negosyanteng si Dennis Uy na na kaibigan ng Pangulo.

Dumalo sa seremonya sa Malakanyang sina Information and Communications Technology Secretary Gregorio Honasan II; DICT Undersecretary Eliso Rio, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr.; National Telecommunications Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba; China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Chief Engineer Zhang Feng; at iba pang opisyal ng China Telecom.

Ayon sa Pangulo, nagagalak siya na mayroon ng third player para tuluyan nang mabuwag ang duopoly ng Globe at Smart.

Hamon ng Pangulo sa Mislatel, tuparin ang pangako na magbigay ng maayos na serbisyo sa taong bayan.

Sinabi naman ni Mislatel President Adel Tamano na target nilang makapagsimula na ng operasyon sa 2020 at magkaroon ng sim card na 5G at maayos na internet service sa bansa.
