Davao Archbishop Valles muling nahalal na CBCP president
Muling nahalal si Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles bilang presidente ng Catholic Bishops’ Congress of the Philippines (CBCP) sa plenary assembly sa Pope Pius XII Catholic Center araw ng Sabado.
Ito na ang magiging huling termino ni Valles na unang naging CBCP president noong July 2017 kapalit ni Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas.
Re-elected din si Bishop Pablo Virgilio David ng Caloocan bilang vice president; Archbishop John Du bilang treasurer at Fr. Marvin Mejia bilang secretary general.
Ang mga bagong halal na opisyal ng CBCP ay mananatili sa kanilang posisyon mula December 1 hanggang November 30, 2021.
Umabot sa 83 obispo ang dumalo sa CBCP assembly.
