Nominasyon para sa susunod na Chief Justice binuksan na ng JBC
Inanunsyo ng Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) na bukas na ang nominasyon para sa susunod na Chief Justice ng Supreme Court.
Ito ay kaugnay sa nakatakdang pagreretiro ni Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin sa buwan ng Oktubre.
Sa October 18 ay maaabot na ni Bersamin ang mandatory age of retirement na 70.
Sinabi ng JBC na ang deadline ng submission ng pagsusumite ng documentary requirements ay sa Agosto 20.
Kabilang sa mga dapat isumite ng sinumang nagnanais na maging Punong Mahistrado ay ang applicant’s personal data sheet, transcript of law school records, birth certificate o proof of age and citizenship, certificate of bar admission, certificate of employment, service record mula gobyerno o pribadong sektor, sample ng court rulings, opinions, at records ng pending criminal, civil o administrative cases.
Kinakailangan rin na nasa maayos na kalusugan ang isang nominado ayon sa JBC.
Requirements rin ang pagsusumite ng statements of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALNs), at bank certifications para sa foreign deposits.
