Maayos na suplay ng malinis na tubig sa Metro Iloilo tiniyak ng Metro Pacific Water

Pormal nang pinasimulan ng Metro Pacific Water (MPW) at Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD) ang kanilang joint venture para sa water distribution sa Iloilo City at pito pang mga bayan sa ilalim ng MIWD.

Pinangunahan nina Senator Franklin M. Drilon, Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Trenas, MIWD Chairman Jessica C. Salas, at MIW Director and MPIC President Jose Ma.K. Lim. Ang simpleng seremonya bna ginanap sa Marriott Ballroom Sa Iloilo Business Park.

Ang Metro Iloilo Water ay joint venture ng MPW at MIWD kung saan ay magiging magkatuwang sila operation, rehabilitation, at maintenance ng water distribution at wastewater management facilities ng MIWD sa buong Iloilo City.

Sakop rin ng kanilang operasyon ang mga bayan ng Pavia, Oton, Maasin, Cabatuan, Sta. Barbara, Leganes, at San Miguel.

Layunin ng binuong joint venture natiyakin ang tuloy-tuloy na suplay ng  malinis na tubig sa nasabing mga lugar.

Sa susunod na mga buwan ay mas lalo pang pag-iibayuhin ng partnership ang reliable water supply sa kabuuan ng Metro Iloilo.

Ang nasabing kasunduan ay bahagi ng 25-year concession agreement.
